A little news...

As of this afternoon Meg and Anders have scheduled Meg's surgery for next Monday, April 1st here in Missoula. (This is subject to change, but is at this point most likely. :))

Here's some info that we have gotten from Dr. Brewington:
Meg has a tumor in her left frontal lobe.  It is a large tumor. During surgery they will remove much of Meg's frontal lobe.  It is unclear whether it is cancerous or not, although it is likely, based on how it has grown and appears.

The positive:
 1. The tumor has been slow growing, which is very good.
 2. If you are going to get a brain tumor, then the front left lobe is a good place to get one.
 3. It appears to be a good (consistency?), that makes it more likely to be able to be removed.
 4. It has not thus far impacted Meg's motor skills area of the brain.
 5. Meg is young, positive, strong, and a female.
6. Meg has so many people who LOVE and support her.

Meg is unbelievably positive and feeling good; still out for runs and at work! :)

* Lots of great friends have offered to start a meal train! Meg and Anders are super appreciative :)  At this point though, it is not necessary.  They have lots of family in and they are feeding them more than they can eat!  (Plus, have you ever seen Anders eat anything but baby carrots and a burger?) But thank you!!! If it gets to a point where we do want to start meals, then I will post here and we can sign up.

Please pass this blog address on to anyone who has questions or is looking for answers!! It is so hard to love someone, not want to bug them, but not have any answers.  People can also email me (Em Kendrick) if you have any questions or ideas: akendrick99 at msn. com. If you have any good pictures you want me to share send them along!

And a general disclaimer: I am getting info second or third hand, so I'm sure that my interpretation is not always going to be 100% accurate.  Hopefully it is helpful though. :)

THANK YOU FRIENDS!!!  Keep sending positive thoughts!!!!
